Murnau, 1920) and DAS BLAUE LICHT / THE BLUE LIGHT (Leni Riefenstahl, 1930) were restored by us to their original beauty and brought back to modern cinema screens.

Experts and Critics Rave

Films once believed lost (so-called ‘lost films’) such as DAS WEIB DES PHARAO / THE LOVES OF PHARAOH (Ernst Lubitsch, 1921) have, in our hands, and with the reconstruction work of film historians and the expert guidance of film scholars, been returned to an authentic state that has drawn international attention.

Kristin Thompson / David Bordwell:

"And what a restoration it is!

The Munich Film Museum’s team has created one of the most beautiful editions of a silent film I’ve ever seen.”
